12 Apostles

It is a long way from where we are in Queensland to the 12 Apostles in Victoria. Our son who lives in Melbourne said come down and I will take you to the 12 Apostles. Even though it is Winter, and we knew it would be very cold and sometimes wet, we went anyway.
There were lots of Crimson Rosella and other birds on the side of the road. Sorry, no photos. Not many places to pull over when you see them.

Why do people have to ignore signs to keep out
Hope their photos were worth it.

A nice little getaway there!

I hate seeing stupid behaviour like that shown by those people along the cliff. And you just know that if something terrible happened, everyone would call it a "tragic accident noone could have foreseen".

The Singing Honeyeater is a pretty species - looks similar to the Mangrove Honeyeater here in Brisbane.

HI Well it certainly was worth while coming such a log way to see the 12 Apostles. Stunning especially early morning. Love the lovely little bird. I assume with a name like it has a lovely song

STUNNING place! Beautiful shots of the formations, and apparently from a safe viewpoint. Looks dangerous, and I agree--I hope those photographer's shots were worth the risk! :-)

Such a beautiful area. Being new to the birding world I have to say the names of the birds are very entertaining and descriptive.
