Black-fronted Dotterel

Now a regular visitor to the edges of our local "Duck Pond", (Lake Alford), this Black-fronted Dotterel is a colourful bird that due to its' small size (16-18cm) perhaps goes unnoticed by many who use this recreational area.

  5. Fantastic photos. Found you on Bird Photography Weekly. Your Dotterel is reminiscent of our Killdeer. A beautiful bird and lovely captures.

  6. So, so different to the 'Eurasian' migrant that we get in the UK. Looks much more like a plover.
