More Birds from Churingas B&B

This post is for Wild Bird Wednesday.

Following on from the last post, this Fan-tailed Cuckoo flew in and landed right in front of me while I was taking photos of the Grey Shrike-thrush.

Fan-tailed Cuckoo (Cacomantis flabelliformis) (Female)

Grey Shrike-thrush (Colluricincla harmonica

Scarlet Honeyeater (Myzomela sanguinolenta) (Male)
Scarlet Honeyeater were calling all around us.

White-throated Treecreeper (Cormobates leucophaeus
I followed the White-throated Treecreeper for quite some time before it finally showed itself long enough for this photo while it was working its way up a tree trunk, and the Willie Wagtail was happy to just perch on a stump.

Willie Wagtail (Rhipidura leucophrys)

Will finish off the birds of Churingas B&B next time.

How to wear Yellow and Grey.

Following on from my previous post I wish to share more birds from Churingas B&B.

Eastern Yellow Robin (Eopsaltria australis
This is the first time I have been able to get a Yellow Robin to stay still long enough for a  decent photo.

Striated Pardalote (Pardalotus striatus)
The Striated Pardalote seemed to be everywhere we walked. All were busy with nesting activity, digging holes in banks.

White-throated Gerygone (Gerygone albogularis
The White-throated Gerygone were building a nest in a tall gum tree. The owners of the property told me the other day that the birds stopped building when there were strong winds, only to come back and continue when the wind dropped.

More birds of Churingas next time.
