White-headed Pigeon (Columba leucomela)
We headed down the coast and came across this flock of Terns resting. This is only a small part of the flock. While we were down the coast we went to see our daughter. Across the road from her is a School and in the School Grounds were these Eastern Grey Kangaroos. She told me they are there everyday. The Kangaroo in the front has a joey in her pouch.

Yes Duncan it is a nice green pick.
That is quite the flock of terns! And that's cool you saw an unusual visitor in your yard.
I gotta say, my favs are the kangaroo family. I love what I can only guess is the papa and teen son sparring in the background.
Hi Red it was a very big flock.
Not sure about the kangaroo family as there are a lot more of them around that area.
Thanks for sharing your corner of the world--particularly the kangaroos. How cool!
Thanks Lana I like the kangaroos as well.
I cannot imagine living in a place that has kangaroos just hanging around. How cool is that?
But back to the birds. The White-headed Pigeon is great and the Terns amazing!!!
