Brahminy Kite (Haliastur indus)
Ospreys were found sitting in tree tops and on the dunes, also flying overhead.
Osprey (Pandion haliaetus)
White-bellied Sea-Eagles were found perched in the trees and on the signs that mark the camp grounds, we also had very good views of them soaring over the ocean looking for food.

Great photos. I am envious of your trip out to Stradbroke.
Don't worry Mick we were thinking of you while we were there, hoping one day you will be able to join us on one of the trips.
Lovely collection of raptors, Neil. It's so beautiful there too.
Yes, very nice photos! I would love to see these species in person.
Ah...cool shots. I love to see the birds from other areas to see what they might have in common with what I see....Michelle
Thanks Gwendolen Maine Birder and Michelle it is a beautiful spot to visit with all the bird life around.
Nice captures Neil! That Brahminy Kite is striking! Do the Sea Eagles ever pirate fish from the Osprey like our Bald Eagles do here in the US?
Nice harvest of raptors there, Neil! The Brahminy Kite is my favorite.
Wow! You're so lucky to have such an amazing array of raptors so close. They are all very handsome birds.
Thanks Larry have not seen them pirate fish myself, but they have been observed doing that by others.
I have seen the Osprey telling a Brahminy to get out of its territory.
Thanks Bob & Cynthia the Brahminy is a very beautiful bird, always looks clean and tidy.
Thanks Kelly Stradbroke Island is a good place to see Raptors I was hoping to be able to get a photo of a Whistling Kite while I was there maybe next time.
These are all magnificent birds and you captured them as if they were all posing for you. Well done.
Thank you very much for visiting My Birds Blog and for the comment you left me there about my goldfinch photograph. My Birds Blog
