Willie Wagtail

The Willie Wagtail seems to be always moving. Very hard to get them to stay still long enough for a photo. We have a pair in the neighborhood at present and hopefully they will decide to nest.

Nice photos Neil. Wagtails seem to be very visible right now - I saw 3 or 4 along that stretch of gravel road down to the bay this morning.

Great photos of the Wagtails! It would be wonderful to see the nestlings.

As I scrolled down the page, the expanded tail in the second photo seemed almost to wag! Strange optical illusion, but how appropriate to this bird. Nice photos!

Cute! Do these birds have any relation to mockingbirds?

Thanks Eileen, Penelope and Halcyon for your comments and no Halcyon not that I am aware of.
