Australian Pelican & Hardhead

After computer problems then internet not working I hope all is fixed now.
Every now and then Australian Pelican (Pelecanus conspicillatus) can be found at Lake Alford.

Great photos and very interesting to see the pelicans in there. I saw 20+ swimming out on the bay this morning.

Never been close enough to photograph a pelican. :(
A Hardhead - poor duck. It's a good thing he doesn't know the name given to him.
I like his lovely brown feathers.

Great shots of the Australian Pelicans Neil! Pelicans are such amazing birds. Their entire feeding habits are very interesting. I like the shot of the two preening. Can you imagine how difficult it must be to preen your neck with that beak?
