Gympie Flood Jan 2013 Part Two

More Rain Still to Come.
Goose not used to this much water.
The park where the Goose calls home.
Looks like the Toilet block will not be cleaned today.

Good luck selling this house.

Some of the trucks stranded between flood water with the road cut in front and behind them.

The road in the picture above goes under this bridge with a
5 metre clearance.

All roads out of town cut.

Will try and get a photo of this railway bridge with the water down to show how far up it came.

A great series of photos. I know you, and others, have told me where the flood waters come up to in Gympie -- but it's really quite different seeing photos of these places. I'm rather glad that I live 50+ Kms away - even if your floods do cut me off from the rest of the world!

Poor little goose.
We see and hear on the news here but your photos give a more intimate look.
I was happy to see the water up around the toliet block was clear enough for a reflection. :)
I'm guessing that home for sale sign did NOT mean exclusive waterfront property.
Still trying to get my thoughts around that first bridge photo - unbelievable.
Stay safe!

Cute goose! I would think they like water. But, maybe not as much as you have pictured. Amazing shots of the flooding. I hope the water has receeded now. Great post.

I think the goose should use its wings and find a dryer spot.

Hard to believe we are dealing with fires down here.

Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW

Poor goose. I hope he and you have found a place to keep dry and safe.

I hope you're OK and haven't floated away. Your photos and words sure put the news into a much more personal perspective for me.
