Dagun

Dagun is a small rural community in the Mary Valley.

Although the train no longer runs through Dagun, the community have looked after the station, and hold farmers markets on a regular basis. The pineapples here are very nice, sweet and juicy, should have bought more!

This Welcome Swallow was gathering mud for its' nest. I would like to know how it managed to keep its head clean.

The White-browed Scrubwren was busy feeding young with little fat caterpillars.

As we walked along the road we came upon this White-necked Heron  searching for food around the edges of a farm dam.

A great series of photos - I especially like the little wren with the caterpillar in its beak.

Looks like a quaint little station and nice that's it's being kept up and repurposed.
That little wren has a look of being caught in the act - nice catch for bird and photographer! :)

Dagun looks like a great little place to wander around in and enjoy things closeup. Love how you've captured different birds getting on with their chores!

I would love to take that walk with you! Your birds are just amazing. One day I hope to make it to Aussie and see for myself,

Neat series! That caterpillar is as big as the bird! Wonderful shots of all the birds. Wish I had one of those pineapples.

Nice set of pictures - I got very wet feet (and no decent pictures) a while ago trying to photograph the WN Heron.

Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW.
