This Kookaburra was sitting in one of the trees in our back yard, and was being harassed by all the other birds. It had enough, and flew straight for me; then landed on the railing right beside me.

Great photos of the butterflies - I must look more carefully at those still fluttering in my yard.

Haven't they been fabulous! We have had them for just over a week on the Darling Downs, north of Toowoomba, but I have had reports of them at Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast and as well as Brisbane of course. Love your photos - I too couldn't help trying to capture this amazing spectacular this week.
With the Caper Whites in our garden, we either get heaps or none at all - normally none!
