Bat Colony

This colony of Fruit Bats is small (15,000) compared to some in S E Qld. There are two permanent species, Grey-headed and Black. The Little Red Flying Fox comes during the summer months for a short time too, then moves on. It feeds on nectar.Small part of the Colony

Grey-headed Flying Fox

Black Flying Fox

Anonymous :Most likely Grey-headed and Black with Little Red in season. I do know the colony you are referring to,it is quite large have not had the opportunity to count them.
