Inskip Point Birds Part One

No matter what time of day or time of year, Inskip Point always has a variety of birds to see. One we don't see there very often is the Black-winged Stilt which showed up on this day.

Caspian Tern (Sterna caspia)

Crested Tern (Sterna bergii)

Silver Gull (Larus novaehollandiae) & Gull-billed Tern (Sterna nilotica)

Crested Tern & Black-winged Stilt (Himantopus himantopus)

Black-winged Stilt (Immature)

Great series of birds here! I discovered some great shore birds on a recent visit to Wynnum foreshore (Pied Oystercatchers, Bar-tailed Godwits, Black-winged Stilts & White-faced Herons). All were birds I had not come across since I stared my birding journey in late last year. The Black-winged Stilts amazed me with their extremely long legs. They look so fragile!
