Johns Landing

Johns Landing is a private camping ground on the banks of the Noosa River between two lakes, Lake Cooroibah and Lake Cootharaba. As we have not previously been to this area, thought it was about time we did. Some of the birds seen appear below.

  Australasian Darter (Anhinga melanogaster) (Female)

Shining Bronze-Cuckoo (Chrysococcyx lucidus)

Whistling Kite (Haliastur sphenurus)

For more birds visit Wild Bird Wednesday.

Great photos and it looks like a really good place to see birds. I've only seen it from the water!

It looks like a great spot for birding. Is it accessible to anyone? I'd love to visit there as we often go up to the Sunshine Coast for day trips.
