Local Birds at Lake Alford.

After having the dreaded Flu for a couple of weeks, we felt we needed to get out in the fresh air. A short outing to the local duck ponds, (Lake Alford), was very refreshing.

Dusky Moorhen (Gallinula tenebrosa)



Eurasian Coot (Fulica atra)
Intermediate Egret (Ardea intermedia)
Little Pied Cormorant (Phalacrocorax melanoleucos)
Restless Flycatcher (Myiagra inquieta)

Spring is well and truly here with the Jacaranda and Silky Oak in full flower.

It is said that if you are walking underneath the Jacaranda tree and one of the trumpet blossoms falls on your head you will be favored by fortune.



Looks like I better start walking have plenty of trees to check out.
