Wow! To have those beauties visit my garden would be amazing! Must be lots of shrubbery around to have Double-barred Finches living there. Although I daresay for the survey, they'll be suddenly replaced with some Mynahs and Turtle-doves? ;)

A great series of photos of beautiful birds. I wish some of those would turn up in my yard - especially the Pale-headed Rosella!

These are some wonderfully colorful birds! I can't wait to visit Australia in the near future to see them for myself.

Marvellous collection. I'll definitely be ticking starlings, mynas, noisy miners (but most days will have rainbow lorikeets, pied currawong, grey butcherbird - it's not all misery)

love the 'owl finches' aka the double-barred. had a pair many years back. sad they were probably captured and imported with the pet trade.

Interesting to see that the Australian King Parrot is different male to female with their plumage, like the Eclectus parrots. Great captures, I hope you have a successful survey day!
