I think this is the first time I have come across a Buff-banded Rail in a tree, every other time they have been on the ground heading for cover.

Interesting to observe the proportion differences between the Greater and Lesser Sand Plovers too. And what a great rail shot - such a pretty bird when not seen half blurred, disappearing into grass ;)

The waders are fun and look familiar -- either the same or very similar to the ones we see. But the beautiful Rail and the honeyeater are so different (I've seen the honeyeater on either this blog or one of your 'neighbors' but don't remember the Buff Banded Rail. A new one for my virtual life list (LOL).
