Snow Trip

It has taken us a long time to be able to go and see snow for the very first time, and it was worth the wait. We went with our son and daughter in-law to the Victorian high country. There was not as much snow as last year they said, as some of the places we went had no snow at all.The photo of the table and chairs was taken on the Saturday, and when we went back on the Sunday, all the snow had melted overnight.

When I told everyone we were going to the snow, they said what are you going to do there, and I said I was going to sit in it.

Yes, we do get snow in Australia! Nothing like other countries though, and yes, it was good to be able to see it for the first time.

Lovely photos. That snow on the branch against the very blue sky is beautiful! Glad you enjoyed your visit down there.

I like that Neil. Us Brits would never consider snow to be a tourist attraction.

I grew up with winter snow (Chicago area) so I can't imagine seeing it for the first time. I do like to see snow in photos, so thanks a lot! Otherwise, if I never see much if it for myself, it doesn't hurt my feelings!

The first time I saw snow it was along the bank of a creek and I thought it was soap suds. It's beautiful stuff but I prefer to experience it from a distance, preferably in photographs such as yours!

Snow is not the first thing that people think of in Australia - I did not manage to get up to see any this year. Will have to be better organised next winter!
